What Is Spousal Support?
Spousal support, or alimony, is a legal obligation arising from marriage in which the higher-earning spouse generally must pay the lower-earning spouse designed to maintain the status quo during marriage.
There are two types of spousal support:
Temporary spousal support refers to support paid while the divorce case is pending.
Permanent spousal support refers to support paid after the judgment of divorce is entered.
Regardless of the type of support needed, our office can assist clients with any of their Spousal Support needs and questions.
